Have you ever gone through something and then discovered you are here again?
Starting a ministry and working as a nonprofit, our finances can bring this question up repeatedly. In pondering this, there are two reasons why it has been reoccurring.
The first one is that we would not depend on GOD and His wisdom if we had everything. Just go along doing what needs to be done. We do not consult with GOD over decisions; we do what we feel is best. Well, that is wrong. GOD wants us to look at our relationship with HIM first and the direction He wants to take us.
Micah 7:7 states, “Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.” Our stand is always to be looking unto the LORD, not a thank you, God, and I will see you later.
Another reason is, what was the last thing GOD asked you to do? Did you do what He asked? If not, this could be why you are back at this spot again. The story of Jonah is an excellent example of someone not doing what GOD has asked and the consequences of our actions. Staying in the belly of the whale or being brought back to the beginning point to hear GOD say, “Let’s try this again.”
So, when you find yourself at a point where you feel you have been here before. The question is not “Why, GOD!” but humbly asking GOD what? What I am to learn, or maybe it is just a moment you need to say, “Forgive me, GOD, for doing my own thing. Help me to learn and walk this out.” Then, if possible, do what GOD has asked you to do.
That is a good point to ponder today.
IN HIM
