Once you decide

Have you ever had a dream when you woke up; you were energized? This morning, I had one of them.

In my dream, I decided and followed through. At first, it was hard, but then confidence and boldness came. When I woke up, I immediately started thinking of all the Bible’s examples.

The first is when Jesus told Peter to leave the boat and walk on water (Matthew 14:28-32). Can you imagine? Peter stepped out and walked on the water without thinking, but the storm got him to take his eyes off Jesus. Anxiety, fear, and hearing the internal voices saying you cannot do this must have overtaken his thoughts. He started to sink. Jesus was there and reached down to him. Then, they both walked back to the boat.

Or the story of the blind man, the lame man, and how about Lazarus? They, as we can all look at our circumstances and say no, or I cannot do that, or it won’t happen for me. Once we decide, miracles happen.

We must take our eyes off our circumstances, surroundings, and weaknesses. Put our eyes on the author and finisher of our life (Hebrews 12:2). Once you decide, many possibilities open. Some things you must start by doing it scared. With Christ, all things are possible (Mark 9:23-24)

Ponder this today.
