Murmuring and Complaining

Have you ever wondered why I am back in this same situation or why this problem has returned? Lately, this has been my question before God. My answer is that I didn’t learn what I needed to do or need a reminder of how God was faithful during this time.

The Story of the Israelites in the wilderness can be found in Exodus 12:33 to Deuteronomy 34:8. God saw them hurting under the taskmaster and sent Moses to show them the way to the promised land.

It took several hardships to get them out of Egypt and then more to get to the promised land. The question is, why? While they were in Egypt, the ruler didn’t want to let his workers go. He needed them. My thought is this was before I knew Jesus Christ as my savior. Once in the wilderness, the Israelites murmured and complained about their life. They thought it would have been better back in Egypt. Sometimes, our walk seems complicated. I have given up so much, or it would be easier back like it was. Which is a lie, but we need to work through our emotions, trust, and memories of the past and trust that God has a promising future for us.

I have been pondering why I am back at this point in my life again. I have had victory over this in the past. Did you hear it? I said I had victory. My faith wasn’t in Christ. This makes it easy to return to old habits in my work, which I did. Now, as I am facing this again, my wandering in the wilderness, I am leaning on Christ and Him crucified and not myself or my doings but on Christ leading and guiding me through.

So why do you see situations in your life repeat? Maybe God is trying to show you something or remind you how Faithful He was in the past and will be going forward.

Ponder this!
