Life happens and not necessarily the way we want. To have the Ozzie and Harriet family (ok, that dated me) where everything is good. Well, that is not Life. Or we look at others and think they have it so good. But do they?
We are good at hiding our failures from others so they don’t judge us. How is the family? We are good, no problems. Which, most times, is a lie? Then does the person asking care? We say Hi, how are you, expecting the answer, hi, I am fine, how are you? Small talk. What would the world look like if we were honest with each other? Or would we even talk because do we care?
Is that how you talk with God? Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. God already knows the truth, and you are not hiding anything from Him. Your rest is in Him. You must come to Him to receive it.
If your family is at odds with each other, battling health issues, death of a family/friend, or it is just tough because of what we think it should look like. Remember, God already knows. He is waiting for you so He can give you His rest.
Today, talk to GOD about what is really on your heart. God sees all. In Ps 56:8 NLT version, it states (I usually like KJV, but this one says it so much better) You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.
Ponder this.
