There is a line from a song, “I hear you knocking, but you can’t come in.” Yes, it is a classic rock song. Let’s move on.
Luke 11:5-8 talks about a friend knocking and knocking at your door at midnight. But you are not going to the door. There is persistence, and they keep knocking.
Now, this can be taken two ways. One is you knocking (praying) until God answers your request. But I want to have us think of it another way. It is God knocking at the doors in our hearts.
We all have shut doors. Doors we have dead-bolted chained and padlocked so that no one will get in. I know I have and probably still do. This is the door God is knocking at. This ” thing ” keeps coming up or stops you from moving forward.
You may not have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. He is knocking at your heart. Are you going to answer? Or keep yelling at him behind closed doors.
In a world where we all have been hurt and don’t want anyone to know. I am here to tell you God already knows. He wants to help you look at the issue and have victory.
So, whatever door God is knocking at, I pray you will start to unlock it and open it up to Him. The healing process can be painful, but it is freeing not to live behind a locked door anymore.
IN HIM
