So, who are you when spending time with our Lord?
Luke 10:38-42 talks of Martha, a homeowner, and her sister Mary.
Luke 10:38-42 talks of Martha, a homeowner, and her sister Mary.
- Martha was all about what her guests needed.
- Mary sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word.
Mark 14:3-9 speaks of an unnamed lady.
- She remains unknown but written about in the Bible. She broke an alabaster jar (filled with rare and costly perfume).
John 13:23, you see the disciple leaning on Jesus.
- He was believed to be John the Apostle. Just think he could hear Jesus’ heartbeat.
Matthew 20:20-23 the mother of Zebedee’s children (James and John)
- She was asking for her sons to be placed on the right and left of Jesus in Heaven. Her request was out of her desire.
Luke 19:1-10 Zacchaeus, the tax collector
- He was a rich man, a publican yet small in stature, yet he wanted to see Jesus. He climbed a tree to see Jesus, and Jesus saw his desire. And called to him and visited with him.
There are many more examples in the Bible. Here is a start I pray will bring you to search your heart (as I search mine) on why, how, and what I am willing to do to seek or spend time with God.
IN HIM
