God’s protection and wisdom are needed also.

My first winter in Minnesota, driving was bad! Anyone in Minnesota understands that word. I had to drive on holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter) to pick up my kids from their father in Iowa.

We were so protected during blizzards and ice storms that year. At the end of that season, I felt like the Lord told me I would not have to drive in a winter like that again.

So, when we entered the winter season, I would remind God of what He had told me. And He did hold off storms and protect me through those years. I even have a picture of how God held back a storm until I got home. THANK YOU, LORD.

During my prayer time the following year, God told me to use wisdom when driving and not just lean on His protection.

So, my point for this Moment with Pastor Mary is that we can stand on God’s promises in the Bible, for He is not a God, and He should lie. King Solomon asked for wisdom in 2 Chronicles 1:11-12, and God gave him more.

We are to stand by God’s promises, and God expects us to do something. He has given pastors, doctors, dentists, and manufacturers wisdom we don’t have. I could not build a car, pull a tooth, or do surgery; I’m just saying I am grateful for the wisdom God has given them.

So we are to seek Godly counsel Prov. 19:20-21 and pray. God will talk to you as he has to me.
