I sat and had coffee this morning, trying to “BE” with God.
You know what I discovered? Not talking and allowing my mind to think about whatever it wants is a distraction. Soon, I found I was planning my day, thinking of projects, and working on my to-do list.
I left God behind. Then I realized I was in my head. This is where the enemy and I can plant thought upon thought and distraction upon distraction.
So, then, I started to thank God out loud for seeing me and watching over me. Those random thoughts were silenced, and there was peace.
Isaiah 28:13 says, “But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little,”
Realizing that God talks to us little by little. The more we listen, the more we see Him in our lives. So, are you allowing yourself to be led by your own thoughts?
I built Legos with my granddaughter this last weekend. Wow, I had a hard time with how the directions were written. But she understood them. It was because I had not practiced or worked with Legos for years.
So, how is GOD building in your life? Have you not been reading His word, spending time with Him, or talking with Him?
We get out of practice. So start today. Allow Him to show you line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, and there a little. And soon, you will have a different perspective.
IN HIM
