I have been searching to find this for you this morning. It is nothing I came up with. Pastor Loren Larson with SBN is where I heard this. It has been life-changing in my Christian walk. It is simple yet challenging. Our mindset gets so ingrained in what we do or have to do. We need to remember there is something else we need to do.
We are to trust in what Jesus Christ did on the cross. Paul said in 1 Cor 2:2, “For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.”
It is renewing the mind of what Jesus did and doing what the Holy Spirit leads us to do. It is relying on the Cross of Christ. We don’t have to do more or say to Jesus do it again; it wasn’t good enough the first time.

The Holy Spirit – – Power Source – – Self
Victory – – Results – -Failure
- Jesus Christ is the Source of all Blessings
- The Cross is the Means by which all Blessings are given
- The Object of our Faith must be Christ and the Cross
- That being done the Holy Spirit will greatly help us
I remember days thinking I understood this when I heard this. Then, in a short amount of time, realizing I didn’t understand. Do I know, or is it perfect now? No, but I trust Jesus and what He did, and I do my best to keep my faith there rather than rely on what I do. I am here to serve God and do what He needs me to do, not the business the world can make us get into.
