In my devotion time today, I recall times I was brokenhearted.
Many of you can relate; mine was over many years; I carried words people had said about and against me as a child, rejection, domestic violence against my fiance, and words of other Christians about or against me.
These scriptures brought healing and comfort. Let me explain. So, life is a battlefield, and we often find ourselves brokenhearted. Here is GOD’s battle plan, which brought me healing.
You are hurt physically or emotionally by a situation. God hears you when you cry and sees your wounds. Ps 34:18: “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those crushed in spirit.”
He comes running to you. John 14:18: “I will not leave you comfortless.” See, He doesn’t just show up; He is there comforting your heart.
The Lord doesn’t just leave us and not help us heal. He brings us to His Word, the Bible. To bring healing and comfort. Ps 147:3: “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” He is there in my pain.
Stay with me through my healing. The Lord is there through the healing process. Helping us become confident and grounded in His word so we can continue. Deut 31:6b “…He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
I come back to these scriptures often to remind and encourage myself. I pray they will help you also.
