Blessed of my Father

I was honored to help Victory is Imminent ministry in a toy distribution yesterday. They will be serving over 1,100 families in the next couple of days.  Why would you do that when you are busy serving up here?

Matthew 25: 35-40 talks about giving food, drink, shelter, clothes, and visiting God.

Yesterday, I got to listen to stories from many families and bless them with toys for this holiday season. The different places people are in and what they are walking through was heartbreaking. Talking with some volunteers, we all said some stories make our complaints small. It brought us to the point of saying, “Sorry, God, for my murmuring and complaining.”

This time of year, we can all get so wrapped up in the business of the season we don’t see others. It is all about what we feel we need to get done, buy our family gifts, or make the holiday meal.

We need not forget those who don’t have and THANK GOD FOR WHAT HE HAS BLESSED US. It can be gone in a twinkle of an eye.

Look at the reward in heaven when you look outside your situation. Matthew 25:34b says, “Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”

Look for someone to bless this holiday season, but don’t stop there. We all have 365 days a year to do this—random acts of kindness.
