Interesting question, part of the two or ten. Moses sent 12 to explore and bring back a report of the promised land. Numbers 13:1-33 is where this story is found.
A brief overview is two years into the Israelite’s journey to the land.
They brought a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two men upon a staff; they brought the pomegranates and the figs. Two said we can take this land, but ten said we are like grasshoppers.
Two were ready to fight and move forward; they believed in what God had told them. They had faith. The others, not so much. Afraid of the future? Didn’t want to die? So many excuses. The 10 influenced the majority; God told them this generation, except for Joshua and Caleb, would not go into the promised Land. Numbers 14 gives the account of this.
Here is the point to ponder today: Are you part of the two or ten? Are you willing to believe in what God has shown you to do? No matter how it looks, are you willing to move forward and enter the promised land God has for you?
It will probably not be easy at times, but it will be the best for you. So, do you have faith in a God you cannot see, or is what you can see bigger than your God?
A quote states: Don’t tell God how big your storm is; start telling your storm how BIG YOUR GOD IS. Luke 8:25b
