In Genesis 3:9, Adam and Eve ate of the apple and saw they were naked; they hid from God. God looks for them and asks, “Where art thou?” God, the all-knowing God, called out to Adam as if He didn’t know where he was.
God allowed Adam and Eve to sit in their disobedience for a while. God could have come right up to them and allowed His temper to get the better of Him.
That is not our God. He is calling us out of our stuff to walk with Him. It can take a moment to realize how we have disobeyed or disappointed Him. God loves us so much. He says so in John 3:16-17.
I include verse 17 because most people know John 3:16 but never learn verse 17: “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
God is always wanting to encourage and show us the way toward Him. Our life may be a mess, or we are walking through some past stuff that may be hard. Isaiah 43:18-19 also tells us to look for the path or the river. He always has a way for us to get through or out of our situations. He sees you.
The real question is, are you looking for Him and His way, or do you want to stay hiding from a God who already sees you and knows you?
IN HIM
