I love crafts and doing them. Back in the day…. I did paint by number. You get this paper with all these numbers and little things with a number on them and paint in them. You were to paint the spaces with the same number on the paint.
Simple enough? At the end of the project, you would see a beautiful painting before you could only see lines and numbers.
Life is so much like this. We can see where we want to go or think we are headed. It takes a while to get there.
If you don’t follow the directions in the paint by number, the manufacturer knew what they were doing when they set it up. You think you know better than them and set off doing your way. Ultimately, you will not see the picture on the box.
Life is so much like this. Jeremiah 29:11 states God knows the plans for our life. Ones which will give us an expected end. A picture he designed.
We are human, and we go our way to do what we think is right in our own eyes. Only to realize I need help from the one who knows. However, we may have left scars and mismatched colors in our choices. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
Did you get the last line? For those called according to His purpose. So, your life can be changed into a beautiful painting once you look to the master designer, accept Christ as your savior, and walk in his way.
