Cross the desert

Have you ever been in a wilderness time in your life and wonder if God sees you? I have. Times when the heavens seem quiet.

The Israelis felt that way, I am sure, as they were in the desert. In Numbers chapter 2, God gave specific orders for the camp arrangement. God has a reason for things; sometimes, we don’t see why.

They lined up the Tabernacle in the middle and tribes of Benjamin, Manasseh, and Ephraim to the West (population 108,100). Dan, Asher, Naphtali (Population 157,600), Reuben, Simeon, and Gad were to the north. To the South (population 151,450), then to the east were Judah, Issachar, and Zebulum (population 186,400)

I told a pastor years ago, “I felt like I was on the bench.” His response is who put you there and to get back into the game. So, I say to you, in that moment of desert in your life. Realize God knows precisely where you are and is waiting for you to return to the game.

As the Israelites may have thought, God didn’t see them, but from God’s point of view, God saw the cross and was fully aware.
